I realized like, I have the ability and the privilege of a financial education, and with that privilege comes responsibility. And I started realizing in my own life, too, that when I had money, I had options.

So I founded Her First $100K in 2016. It was a side hustle on the side of my 9-to-5 in marketing. So I was running social media for a company and then started a blog on the side of my 9-to-5 and was the friend that all of my friends were coming to for advice and guidance about money.

Her First $100K was kind of born out of my own journey to try to save $100,000 at age 25. I hit that goal. I went to Europe to celebrate. I got the call for Good Morning America in a pub in London, came home, did the show, and then quit my job three weeks later. And since then it's just the success of the company and the community we've built has just been absolutely crazy and that's what I believe I was put on this earth to do, is fight for women's financial rights.

I think if you're going to think about starting a business, think about starting a brand, any sort of change or impact you want to make. Start with your own community. So if you're a woman out there who is thinking, I have this idea, I have this mission, I want to make this sort of impact, but somebody is already doing something or they're doing something similar, they're not. Something about you is unique. Something about you is needed in this community or needed in the business space. And I really encourage you to explore it. I would hope that tomorrow looks more like the world around me and looks more equitable and inclusive and where women can unabashedly pursue money. And I want women to get rich.

I want them to be able to say I want to get rich and not have that be shameful or them being greedy like I want to be rich. I want every single woman on this planet to be rich. Because, again, when she has money, she has options, she has choices. She gets to live the life that she wants to live.

So that's what I hope tomorrow looks more like.
