VolitionRx is a multi-national life sciences company developing simple, easy to use, cost effective blood tests to help diagnose a range of cancers and other diseases. We hope that through earlier diagnosis we can help save and improve the quality of many people's lives throughout the world. Our Solution/Science Our tests are based on the science of Nucleosomics®, which is the practice of identifying and measuring nucleosomes in the bloodstream or other bodily fluid - an indication that disease is present. The principle behind what we are doing relies on bringing together two main lines of research and is, in concept, very simple: the chromosomes of cancer cells differ from those of healthy cells - both in terms of DNA sequence (due to genetic cancer mutations) and in protein structure - due to epigenetic changes.
