Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. ("UVE," and together with its wholly-owned subsidiaries, "we," "our," "us," or "the Company") is the largest private personal residential homeowners insurance company in Florida by direct written premium in-force, with a 10.1% market share as of September 30, 2017, according to the most recent data reported by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (the "FLOIR"). We perform substantially all aspects of insurance underwriting, policy issuance, general administration and claims processing and settlement internally through our vertically integrated operations. Our two wholly-owned licensed insurance subsidiaries are Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company ("UPCIC") and American Platinum Property and Casualty Insurance Company ("APPCIC" and together with UPCIC, the "Insurance Entities").  ...
