BXP, a Delaware corporation organized in 1997, is a fully integrated, self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust, or "REIT," and one of the largest owners, managers and developers of office properties in the United States. Our properties are concentrated in five markets--Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, DC. For information concerning the operations of our segments, see Note 14 to the Consolidated Financial Statements. At December 31, 2017, we owned or had interests in 179 commercial real estate properties, aggregating approximately 50.3 million net rentable square feet of primarily Class A office properties, including twelve properties under construction/redevelopment totaling approximately 6.2 million net rentable square feet.  ...
