About This Event
In honor of the Nasdaq Annual New York Climate Week Conference, Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the UN Global Compact will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to ring the closing bell. This bell ceremony will serve to celebrate forging a path forward on climate action and powering meaningful progress that will help drive economic prosperity, resulting in new pathways to capital and promoting greater transparency across markets.
The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) was formed in 2006 out of the UN system by a small but committed group of asset owners, aiming to bring sustainability to capital markets. Today they represent the global responsible investment community with over 5,300 signatories to their six principles, who collectively represent over 128 trillion US dollars in AUM. The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with over 24,000 participating companies, inviting companies of all sizes and industries to align their strategies with Ten Principles in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Together, they are dedicated to advancing the principals of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and transparency across capital markets.
In honor of the occasion, David Atkin, CEO of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), Board Member of the UN Global Compact, will ring the Closing Bell.
