XLE, SMH: Big ETF Inflows

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ), which added 3.5 million units, or a 3.1% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLE, in morning trading today Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) is up about 0.1%, and Chevron ( CVX ) is higher by about 0.2%.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the Semiconductor ETF ( SMH ), which added 1.9 million units, for a 29.4% increase in outstanding units. Among the largest underlying components of SMH, in morning trading today Intel ( INTC ) is trading flat, and Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) is up by about 0.5%.
