The European Central Bank (ECB) may emerge as the euro's knight in shining armor...at least, that is what everyone seems to be hoping right now. The talk on the street is focusing on the ECB reversing its stance on quantitative easing by injecting capital into the European economy by buying bonds from countries like Portugal and Spain -- both of which are major sources of instability in the Eurozone debt markets.

The timing of all of this excitement is convenient because the ECB is scheduled to meet tomorrow to announce whether it will be holding interest rates at 1 percent.
