If there ever seemed an illogical argument on paper, this might be it. Despite package volumes absolutely surging from the growth of ecommerce this year, Barron's is arguing UPS' stock might have a bad holiday period. The argument is based on the idea that UPS is having trouble keeping up with demand and is extending delivery times because of being overwhelmed. This is turn may lead to weakened sentiment on the company, which could send the stock downward.
FINSUM : We don't really like the argument-delivery delays are going to cause investors to sell the stock? UPS still gets paid even if the delivery is late, and everyone knows the issues are just seasonal.
