Sentiment and thus performance of financial markets fluctuated according to the headlines of US fiscal cliff negotiation. Earlier in the week, investors were optimistic as the GOP said that President Obama's new proposal pointed to the right direction. Yet, confidence was shaken as the President threatened to veto House of Speaker Boehner's counterproposal, the so-called plan B. Markets dropped further after the GOP announced to cancel the vote on the plan.
