Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: PBP

The PowerShares S&P 500 BuyWrite Portfolio ETF ( PBP ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 953,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 147,000. Shares of PBP were up about 0.7% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Cisco Systems ( CSCO ), trading down about 0.6% with over 20.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Facebook ( FB ), up about 1.8% on volume of over 19.7 million shares. Vertex Pharmaceuticals ( VRTX ) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 3.7% on the day, while Macys ( M ) is lagging other components of the PowerShares S&P 500 BuyWrite Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 5.6%.
