Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: FNX

The First Trust Mid Cap Core AlphaDEX Fund ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 292,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 53,000. Shares of FNX were up about 1.3% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Chesapeake Energy, trading up about 0.4% with over 24.3 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ), down about 0.5% on volume of over 22.3 million shares. Acadia Pharmaceuticals is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 10.1% on the day, while Univar is lagging other components of the First Trust Mid Cap Core AlphaDEX Fund ETF, trading lower by about 2.2%.
