In trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF ( XBI ) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 0.8% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Puma Biotechnology ( PBYI ), up about 6.4% and shares of Clovis Oncology ( CLVS ), up about 6.2% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF ( XOP ), down about 3.7% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Stone Energy ( SGY ), lower by about 8.7%, and shares of Halcon Resources (HK), lower by about 8.1% on the day.
