U.S. stocks were set to open in green territory on Wednesday amid another round of corporate earnings and ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate decision later in the session.
Oil prices nudged higher with global benchmark Brent Crude up 0.40%, and U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate up 0.71% recently, extending gains from prior session after official data showed a sharp draw in U.S. crude stockpiles last week.
At 10 a.m., data are expected to show new home sales strengthening slightly to 611,000 in June vs May's 610,000.
At 2 p.m., forecasters see a federal funds rate of 1.125%.
In equities, shares of Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals ( TTPH ) rallied 29% pre-bell after the company reported positive topline results from phase 3 Ignite4 clinical trial.
