Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. ( WMT ) has announced that its smiley face is making a return.
Walmart said that part of the reason it's returning the smiley face to its stores is that customers still associate it with low prices, despite it not being use much over the last 10 years. The character will now represent all low prices, instead of just rollbacks.
"Today, as much as ever, our customers need us as their advocate for low prices," Walmart CMO Tony Rogers said in a blog post. "Smiley represents that commitment."
