Viacom Inc (NASDAQ: VIA ,NASDAQ: VIAB ) may not be renewing its deal with DISH Network Corp (NASDAQ: DISH ).
The deal between the companies expires tomorrow. Dish marks Viacom's number one provider of cable networks, with channels such as Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, Spike and CMT."
Viacom says it has done as much as possible to extend the deal between the companies, but Dish is making a renewal quite difficult.Dish's demands are reportedly "designed to be impossible to meet in order to take our negotiations public and likely force our programming off the air," Viacom writes.
VIA stock is down 7.3% Tuesday. VIAB stock is down 8.3% and DISH shares are up 1.8%.
