Verde Potash Announces New Chief Operating Officer

Verde Potash Plc (NPK.V) has appoined Pedro Ladeira as Chief Operating Officer. Ladeira has been with the Company since October 2010 acting as VP of Engineering and has been an integral part of the development of ThermoPotash and KCl.

He has extensive experience in operations management specializing in large start-up projects and expansions. Ladeira was responsible for the construction and operation of two cement plants with total capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum. Prior to joining Verde, he was Plant Director at Cementos Minetti (part of Holcim Group) from January 2007 to August 2010, when he was responsible for over 600 employees and the management of its two main factories.

Verde has issued 150,000 share purchase options exercisable at $6.95, expiring December 23, 2016 to Mr. Ladeira, pending TSX regulatory approval.

Mauricio Sampaio, previously Vice President of Operations at Verde, is no longer with the Company.
