U.S. stock futures were slightly higher Thursday after minutes release Wednesday from the Federal Open Market Committee's October meeting suggested monetary policy makers see less risks in the global economy and as markets waited for weekly jobless figures.
At 8;30 a.m. E.T., data from in the week ended Nov. 14 are expected to show a slip in jobless claims to 270,000 from 276,000 the week before. The consensus range is between 265,000 and 275,000, according to data compiled by Econoday.
In equities, Best Buy ( BBY ) shares dropped over 9% in recent pre-market trade after cautious comments regarding the final quarter of the year.
