US Markets Poised For Flat to Lower Open Amid Weak Oil; BlackBerry Shines

U.S. equities were set to open flat to lower Friday as overseas markets and continued weakness in oil prices weighed on sentiment while BlackBerry ( BBRY ) shares were solidly higher after reporting fiscal Q3 results.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil for delivery in January was off 0.6% at $34.73 recently while Brent Crude was down 0.6% at $36.83.

At 9:45 a.m E.T. the PMI Services flash is expected to be at 56.1 for December, down from 56.5 in November and in the consensus range between 55.8 and 56.4, according to data compiled by Econoday.

In equities, BlackBerry shares jumped over 4% in recent pre-market trade after the company reported a smaller than expected fiscal Q3 loss and revenue that far exceeded expectations.
