US Futures Point South Ahead of Christmas Holiday

US stock futures pointed south on Monday ahead of the Christmas holiday on Tuesday when markets are closed and as turmoil in Washington continued to hound the market.

Oil prices nudged lower with global benchmark Brent crude down 0.91% and US crude West Texas Intermediate down 1.54% recently amid concerns about global crude output and economic downturn.

At 8:30 am, data are expected to show the Chicago Fed national activity index coming in at a consensus of 0.19 for November from the previous month's 0.24, according to data compiled by Econoday.

In equities, shares of Micronet ( MICT ) were 26.7% higher after the company received $1.4 million in orders for Treq-317 fleet management platform.
