UPDATE: Habenero Resources Up 12%, But Off Day Highs; May Reflect News From Orbite, Which is Up 14.5%

Habanero Resources (HAO.V) is still up 1 cent at 9.5 cents but is off a day high 11 cents late Wednesday. More than 4.6 million shares have changed hands.

The company has not announced any fresh news, apart from last week's announcement that it has increased its land position by approximately 11,000 acres on its 100% owned Grande-Vallee North Aluminous Clay Prospect in Quebec.

Habanero now has approximately 6,700 contiguous hectacres. Habanero stock rose as much as 29% to nine cents on that day.

Today's interest in Habanero may reflect the fact that Orbite Inc. (ORT.TO) today hosted a conference call to discuss the results of the Preliminary Economic Assessment on its planned Smelter Grade Alumina Plant. Orbite owns 100% of the mining rights on approximately 6,441 hectares of a Grande-Vallee property, the site of an aluminous clay deposit located 23 km to the south of Grande-Vallee, and a 2,600 sq. m. full scale pilot plant in Cap Chat, in the Gaspe region. ORT is up 14.5%.
