UPDATE: Fission to Commence $4 Million Exploration Program at PLS; Stock Rises Nearly 2%

Fission Energy Corp. (FIS.V) announced that a $4.0 million winter program will start mid-January at the PLS property, located in the southwest part of Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin.

The company said a drill program utilizing 2 diamond drill rigs will focus aggressively on the area of the recent shallow depth, high-grade uranium discovery made during the Fall 2012 program to develop a better measure of the size and grade of the mineralized area.

FIS went up by nearly 2% to 58 cents, trading close to year low $0.335.
