Bolanos, a senior geologist with over 20 years of international experience, was instrumental in the formation of the company in 2006 in advance of its listing on the TSXV and in the expansion of the company's exploration activities into Peru when exploration activities had to cease in Ecuador in 2008. He left AndeanGold in August 2011 following completion of the Phase I drilling program on the Urumalqui Project in Peru. Since his departure, he has been Vice President Exploration for two junior Canadian mining companies.
AAU is up half a cent to 8 cents late morning, on volume 7,000.
