James Compton, the vice chairman at United Continental Holdings ( UAL ) , bought 7,800 shares of the company's common stock on Oct. 28. At $32.12 per share, Compton paid a total of $250,536 to increase his direct holdings by 8.8%.
IK-> The technicals for UAL ($33.14 down $0.77) are bullish with an upward trend. Recent support has been around $34.01 and recent resistance has been around $37.83. Standard & Poor's has a three STARs (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the Dec. 25/29 bull-put spread for a 20-cent credit. That's a 5.26% return and the stock has to fall 12.5% to cause a problem. [InvestorsKeyhole, Various news and data services]
