Ukraine, Gaza roil world markets

U.S. markets are moving up early Friday after falling sharply in the previous session. The S&P 500 is up 0.12% and the Dow is up 0.02%.

Asian markets were mixed as Japanese stocks fell for the third straight day. The Nikkei was down 1.01% while the Mumbai Sensex was up 0.31%. In Europe , markets are falling today. The FTSE has fallen 0.40%, and the German DAX is down 0.64%.

Energy futures are up Friday. West Texas Intermediate crude oil is up $0.15 and natural gas is up $0.02. Metals prices are moving down this morning. Gold is off $6.30, and platinum is down $7.50. The Dollar is up versus the Euro and the Yen.

Alcatel-Lucent ( ALU ), Southern Company ( SO ), and Express Scripts Holding Company ( ESRX ), are moving up today. RealPage, Inc. ( RP ), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. ( AMD ), and Nu Skin Enterprises Inc.( NUS ) are down.
