The SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF ( XSD ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 511,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 146,000. Shares of XSD were down about 0.7% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ), trading up about 1.9% with over 109.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Micron Technology ( MU ), up about 3.5% on volume of over 94.2 million shares. Ceva ( CEVA ) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF Tuesday, trading lower by about 5.6%.
