In trading on Tuesday, the Gold Miners ETF ( GDX ) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Harmony Gold Mining ( HMY ), up about 5.3% and shares of Barrick Gold ( GOLD ), up about 4.7% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares PHLX Semiconductor ETF ( SOXX ), down about 1.3% in Tuesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Tuesday were shares of Nvidia ( NVDA ), lower by about 4.6%, and shares of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), lower by about 4% on the day.
