The TSX is up just 2 points on mixed sectors. Miners are the biggest decliners, shedding 0.77%, followed by industrials, down 0.26%. The energy, down 0.19%. Materials are all in negative territory today.
The biggest gainers are telecom (+0.45%) and info tech (+0.36%).
StatsCan reports that Canada's trade deficit fell to $1.9 billion in January, from $3.05 billion in December. Exports in January fell 2.1%, prompted by declines in exports of light trucks and cars. Imports also fell -- by 4.3%.
