TSX Flat at 10 am on Mixed Sectors

The TSX is unchanged at at 10 am on mixed sectors. The biggest gainer is miners, up 1.03%, on the back of higher precious metals prices.

The heavyweight financials and energy sectors are down, shedding 0.10% and 0.17% respectively. Crude oil has slipped 0.70%, to US$70.81 after the International Energy Agency cut its forecast for demand growth this year by 100,000 barrels per day.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports the Canadian government is prepared to financially shield Kinder Morgan Canada's (KML.TO) proposed Trans Mountain pipeline expansion against politically motivated delays, Finance Minister Bill Morneau said on Wednesday. KML is up 3% to $17.26.
