TSX Flat at 10 am With Commodities in The Red; Healthcare The Biggest Gainer

The TSX is little changed this morning, with commodities in negative territory. Miners are the biggest decliners, down 0.81%. Energy is also in the red, shedding 0.08%. Precious metals and crude oil have all lost ground this morning, with oil now down 0.75% to US$70.43.

Healthcare is the biggest gainer, up 1.29%. Financials are also 0.22% higher, helping to offset losses.

Resales of Canadian homes fell 2.9% in April from March to the lowest level in more than five years, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Tuesday.

The TSX is looking today for a seventh straight gains, a run that has taken the index back to within 350 points of all time highs hit on January.
