TSX Down Nearly 46 Points With Most Sectors in The Red -- Energy Posts Biggest Losses
The TSX is down 46 points this morning, with most sectors in negative territory. Energy is the biggest loser, down 1.2%, followed by info tech (-0.66%) and healthcare (-0.43%).
The API reported a surprise 4.7 million barrel weekly build in crude stocks, when expectations had been for a 1.0 million barrel draw, reports Action Economics. OPEC also warned of a growing oil supply surplus next year unless members actually made the cuts that were promised over the weekend.
OPEC pumped 33.87 million bpd last month, an increase of 150,000 bpd from October, Reuters reports.
Utilities is the sole gainer today, up 0.05%.
