TSX Down 5 Points 10 am With Healthcare, Info Tech, Leading Gains

The TSX is down 5 points this morning on mixed sectors. The biggest gainers are healthcare (+1.1%) and info tech (+0.76%). Commodities prices are in the red today, and the mining sector is the the biggest decliner, shedding 1.10%, followed by financials, which has slipped 0.17%.

The value of Canadian wholesale trade dipped 0.5% in December, Statistics Canada said on Tuesday. Lower sales were recorded in five of the seven subsectors, representing 65% percent of wholesale trade in December. The personal and household goods subsector dropped 3.3% to its lowest level since April 2017.
