TSX Down 31 Points, Healthcare Still the Biggest Gainer, Energy Falls on Lower Oil

The S&P TSX Composite Index was down by about 31 points at midday - adding to the 15-point loss in the morning. All sectors were in the green, except for energy, financials, and info tech.

Financials was the biggest decliner, down 0.71%. It was followed by info tech, which fell 0.15%. Energy stocks came in third, with a 0.12% loss, hurt by falling crude oil prices.

In the positive territory, healthcare was still the biggest gainer, up 0.98%. Telecom came in second, after rising 0.44%. Mining stocks were higher by 0.16%, boosted by gold prices, which rose 4.62% to $1,368 an ounce.
