TSX Down 13 Points as Gains in Energy Offset by Lower Financials, Industrials

The TSX is down 13 points this morning with healthcare and energy the biggest gainers, up 0.19% and 0.34% respectively.

Oil prices were up again early Friday as traders anticipate production cuts from OPEC to balance an oversupplied market.

BlackBerry, which announced Friday a definitive agreement to buy Cylance, provider of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, for US$1.4 billion is up 2.66%. (Info tech is now up 0.16%).

Financials is the biggest decliner, shedding 0.54%.

Bombardier (BBD-B.TO) has skidded 5% to 2.5 year lows after the Autorite des marches financiers (AMF) said it is reviewing the operations surrounding the establishment by Bombardier of an Automatic Securities Disposition Plan (ASDP) in August 2018. The industrials sector is down 0.45%.
