TSX up 5 Points Points Mid-Morning as Miners, Energy, Fall

The TSX is up just 5 points this morning on mixed sectors. The biggest decliners are miners, down 2.2% as silver and copper prices dip. Weak China data -- the Caixin/Markit index of Chinese manufacturing fell to its lowest since February 2016, is adding to a growing list of economic readings indicating slowing global growth, reports Reuters.

The energy sector is also in the red, shedding 0.48%.

Healthcare and info tech, up 2.35% and 0.56% respectively, are helping to offset losses, as is the heavyweight financials sector (+0.21%).
