TSX up 20 Points as Commodities Rise

The TSX is up 20 points this morning on mixed sectors. The energy sector is the biggest gainer, up 1.38%, followed by healthcare/cannabis stocks (+0.88%). Miners are also in the green, up 0.87% on higher precious metals.

Utilities (-0.45%) and info tech (-0.26%) are the biggest decliners.

Oil prices were higher early on Wednesday as Saudi Arabia said it would further cut production by 500,000 barrels per day in March.

Meanwhile US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin was reported saying that trade talks with China went well.
