TSX Up 190 Points With All Sectors Positive; Miners, Healthcare Lead Surge

The TSX is up 190 points or 1.5% with all sectors in the green. Miners and healthcare are the biggest gainers so far, up 3.5% and 3.3% respectively. Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX.TO) is up 15% after announcing a deal with Walgreens.

Energy is up 2.2%, on higher oil prices .

Underlying inflation pressures in the US rose in November, which could give the Federal Reserve more confidence to raise interest rates tomorrow, while renewed weakness in gasoline prices kept consumer prices in check, Reuters reported.

The Labor Department said on Tuesday its so-core Consumer Price Index, which excludes food and energy, increased 0.2%, the third straight month that the core CPI increased by that margin.
