TSX At 10am -- Up Nearly 4 Points; Miners The Biggest Loser

The TSX is up 4 points this morning, on mixed sectors. Miners are the biggest decliners this morning, down 1.3%, as commodities prices took a dive. Telecom is the next biggest loser, down 0.8%.

Energy is up 0.4%, bolstered by rising crude oil and natural gas prices .

Lacklustre Canadian jobs and productivity data released today showed the economy is still struggling to recover. Statistics Canada figures showed the economy created a net 25,800 jobs in May, all part-time positions. Full-time jobs fell by 29,100, bringing the two-month loss to 60,000 positions.
