TSX At 10am -- Down More than 60 Points On Lackluster China Industrial Data; Miners, Healthcare The Biggest Decliners

The TSX is down more than 60 points at 10 am with miners and healthcare leading the decline. Miners have shed 0.77%, followed by healthcare, down 0.48%. Commodities fell to the lowest level in more than five years amid signs growth is weakening in China. Chinese industrial output grew 6.9% in August,its slowest rate since December 2008. Industrial output expanded 9% in July.

Energy is down 0.42%, with crude oil prices down 0.3%.

Utilities and info tech are both up, albeit slightly -- 0.08% and 0.02% respectively.

Meanwhile sales of existing homes in Canada rose in August from July, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Monday. Sales activity was up 1.8% last month from July. Actual sales for August, not seasonally adjusted, were up 2.1% percent from August 2013.
