The TSX is up 15 points this morning, on mixed sectors. Miners are the biggest gainers this morning, up 0.8%, boosted by rising commodities prices. Natural gas and crude oil are also up, boosting the energy sector, which is up 0.2%. This is despite Twin Butte Energy (TBE.TO) which released its earnings report this morning, falling 13%. It is the TSX's most actively traded stock so far.
Healthcare and industrials are the biggest losers, down 0.31% and 0.29% respectively.
Canadian house prices rose slightly in April, according to figures from Teranet-National Bank Composite House Price Index. National home prices were up 0.5% in April, from March. House prices were up 4.9% from a year earlier, higher than March's 4.6% increase.
