Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: VTWO

The Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF ( VTWO ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 493,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 42,000. Shares of VTWO were up about 1.8% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were AK Steel Holding ( AKS ), trading trading flat with over 7.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Ensco ( ESV ), down about 1.6% on volume of over 6.3 million shares. Diebold ( DBD ) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 14.3% on the day, while Meritor ( MTOR ) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF, trading lower by about 4.5%.
