Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: IWR

The iShares Russell Mid-Cap ETF ( IWR ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 2.4 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 283,000. Shares of IWR were up about 0.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Chesapeake Energy ( CHK ), trading off about 8.6% with over 37.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and SunEdison ( SUNE ), off about 4.7% on volume of over 34.9 million shares. Keurig Green Mountain ( GMCR ) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 22.2% on the day, while Terraform Power ( TERP ) is lagging other components of the iShares Russell Mid-Cap ETF, trading lower by about 11.8%.
