Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Argonaut Gold (AR.CA), up about 11.6% and shares of Alexco Resource ( AXU ), up about 9.5% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares Transportation Average ETF ( IYT ), off about 1.6% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of United Continental Holdings ( UAL ), lower by about 6.8%, and shares of Delta Air Lines ( DAL ), lower by about 6% on the day.
