In trading on Thursday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.2%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Century Aluminum Company ( CENX ), off about 9.1% and shares of Gerdau ( GGB ) off about 5.5% on the day.
Also lagging the market Thursday are general contractors & builders shares, down on the day by about 2% as a group, led down by Hovnanian Enterprises ( HOV ), trading lower by about 7% and LGI Homes ( LGIH ), trading lower by about 3.4%.
