Theresa May's comments after 'winning' Conservative leadership
May will become the Prime Minister of Britain on Wednesday:
- We're going to make a success of Brexit
- We need to unite our country
- We face difficult and uncertain economic times
- We're going to give people more control over their lives
It's one thing to say "Brexit means Brexit" at the start of a leadership campaign, it's another to repeat it after winning. She sounds serious about it and that's probably why GBP just ticked lower on the comment.
There's a solid faction in the GBP market that believes it will never happen.
