Factors to Consider
From the fourth quarter, Energizer Holdings will report the operational results from itsHousehold Product Division (comprising battery business) while the rest of the consumer brands business has been included in the operations of Edgewell Personal Care Co. ( EPC ).
We believe that the expected decline in volumes in the Household product segment, unfavorable foreign exchange and increasing competition from peers are the near-term headwinds. In addition, the company has a debtburden of $1 billion resulting from the reorganization of the business. The company expects fourth quarter results to bear a cost impact of about $15 million to $25 million due to the spin-off.
