Tesla (TSLA) closed at $418.33 in the latest trading session, marking a +0.88% move from the prior day. The stock outpaced the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.3%. Elsewhere, the Dow gained 0.27%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.3%.

Coming into today, shares of the electric car maker had gained 23.84% in the past month. In that same time, the Auto-Tires-Trucks sector gained 3.14%, while the S&P 500 gained 2.69%.
