Technology stocks were mixed in the lead up to Thursday's opening bell. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) was 0.14% higher while the Semiconductor Sector Index Fund (SOXX) was down 0.54% recently.
Netgear (NTGR) was dropping more than 15% after the computer networking company reported an increase in EPS and a 10% rise year over year in sales in Q2 but guided Q3 sales below Street views.
In other company news, Veritone (VERI) was up almost 9% after announcing its plan to acquire intelligent hiring solutions provider PandoLogic for $150 million in cash and stock.
Texas Instruments (TXN) was down 4% after the semiconductor company reported higher adjusted profit and revenue in its most recent quarter.
