Technology shares were mainly higher in early trade on Wednesday.

In technology stocks news, Micron Technology ( MU ), a provider of semiconductor devices, has been downgraded by Raymond James to an outperform rating from a strong buy. Price target information was not available.

Shares in the company were 5.8% lower at $13.76 in early trade. This is within the lower band of the stock's 52 week trading range between $13.50 and $35.74.

And China Information Technology ( CNIT ) shares were 7.0% higher in early trade at $1.91 after the provider of internet-based platforms, products and services in China said it has regained compliance with the minimum bid price requirement for continued listing on NASDAQ Global Select Market.

The company has traded between $0.68 and $7.35 over the past 52 weeks.
