Technology shares were mainly higher in pre-market trade on Thursday.
In technology stocks news, Micron Technology ( MU ), a provider of semiconductor devices, has been upgraded by Morgan Stanley to an overweight rating from equalweight. The firm also raised its price target on the stock to $18 from $16 a share.
Shares in the company were 3.6% higher at $14.58 pre-bell. This is within the lower band of the stock's 52 week trading range between $13.50 and $35.74.
And Gilat Satellite Networks ( GILT ), a satellite technology company, said it has been awarded a $108 million telecommunications project by Peru's Fitel.
Shares in the company were unchanged at $3.45 pre-bell. This is within the lower band of the stock's 52 week trading range between $3.11 and $7.07.
