Technology Sector Update for 09/30/2015: BRCD, TSLA, CUDA

Technology shares were higher in pre-market trade Wednesday, rising along with the broader stock market.

In technology stocks news, Brocade Communications ( BRCD ) Wednesday reported it increased by $700 million its stock buyback plans to $1 billion, but did not commit to a schedule. Brocade traded up 1.15% pre-bell to $10.55 inside a 52-week trading range of $8.91 to $12.96.

And, Tesla Motors ( TSLA ) shares inched higher on the launch of its new Model X vehicle. Tesla was slated to unveil the Model X at an event Tuesday evening amid high expectations for it.

Finally, Barracuda Networks ( CUDA ) a purveyor of security, networking and storage products based on network appliances, Wednesday sank more than 24% pre-bell to $17.80 after missing Q2 sales expectations.
